Time for the teaser! New month (and New Year) at scrapsahoy.com. Wanted to show you all what I really did to relax over Christmas weekend! LOVED the time at home, playing (and crafting) with Indiana. She made super sweet necklaces that I, of course, had to document. Love a child's innate giving nature.
On the yarn front, got this link from Berocco - SO loving these, easy-peasy and they look fab! Know I will be sportin' one by Monday!
Stalking the poor mail man next week! I won a hand-crafted, metal-rimmed, soldered ornament by the terrific Miss Teresa McFayden and I can not wait to hang it up. This kind of thing makes me so happy!
Curious. Excited. Confident. Optimistic. = me right now. Always love the new start of a New Year, where all things are fresh, new and possible.
Where will the year take YOU?

Used my new "Las Vegas" digital kit for the scrapsahoy.com January destination. Lots more LOs to see there after Jan. 1 - when all things are new, fresh and shiny!

specifically for these recent ones:
- for yesterday, when we ALL slept in, ALL went out to lunch, ALL went to see Narnia, dropped the girls off for their first solo Christmas shopping for mom and dad experience, went to friends for poker and MUCH laughter. Was one of those days that I think will stay with me for a long time. close to perfect.
- For the movie, Narnia, itself, which was so magical that I was crying within 30 seconds of the movie starting. Was just so good that it made me emotional. magical is all I can say.
- For running into my daughter's friend, Katie, while we were leaving Narnia, and seeing her mom give my daughter a hug when she saw that Carsey was weepy from the movie. Made me feel so good that someone other than family has affection for my daughter. Reminded me there are good people and caring in the world.
- For not stressing about Christmas. I left at Noon today and was home by 3:30. In that time I started and finished my holiday shopping.
- For Ciro's, our favorite pizza place, from which I am going to buy dinner tonight. And will hear the "Yea"s and "Hoorays" from the whole family.
- For the Presto Heat Dish from Costco that I bought and aimed at me so I no longer freeze as I sit here, in my 95 year old house that for some reason is warm enough EXCEPT for where I craft.
- For my 2000 Ford Explorer which I just paid off in November and still runs and looks brand new. No more car payment!! Hooray!
- And lastly, for Jenni Bowlin, whose own "Thankful" post reminded me to take a few minutes and reflect on some of the little, but equally important, things of the season.

I spy Indy making a card for Mr. Dragoo, her 1st grade teacher using STUFF SHE FOUND at school. They have an "art box" full of assorted stuff and they are free to take from it as they want. She brought home a treasure trove of little stamps and foamies a few days ago and added them to her very own STASH! This girl is going places!

A friend of mine is sweet enough to think of me when she needs unique gifts, and she recently ordered a couple wedding albums. I love making albums - mine are meant to be picked up, turned over, touched and much loved. Kept on a table to make you smile. What I love about them is that each one has its own little personality. This one I made last night. Mixed some yummy Blitzen (Basic Grey) papers and some equally yummy BoBunny papers, a bunch of flowers I punched and stamped and layered like a mad woman, MM rub-ons and some of my favorite Amuse stamps. And out came this little cutie book. I can just picture it with those breathtaking black and white wedding photos! Vertical 6"x9", 12 pages.
Also a shout out to my new friend Lee. She has mad-crazy-beautiful-happy-sassy style! Hi Lee!
