Love this time of the month

No really, I DO! Not what you think, but so much better. The 1st of each month is the BIG REVEAL at scrapsahoy.com for the monthly destination. This month we're going to Ireland! We had Daisy D's and Sassafrass Lass as our oh-so-generous sponsors, and they were great to work with! Love this little tease of what I've been working on! Also this season, we're having a great Holidays Around the World showcase, so be on the look out for it, beginning Dec. 15. So much inspiration and of course we'd always love you to join our community - registration is free!

And more teasing: I have a cool announcement coming in less than 2 weeks! That's all I can spill for now, but there are some really sly hints to be found here if you've ever noticed my "style." [ t ]

Still Friday...barely

I'm not too late for Studio Friday, it's only 11:36 pm PST! I took Carsey for an impromptu "mommy-daughter" date and we went and saw "Dreamer". Sweet movie. Horses are so beautiful. Dakota Fanning is such a great little actress. We had the whole theater to ourselves (late show, which was a treat in itself for Carsey to get to stay up so late.) Last weeks topic was "Round" which I missed, and this week's is "Sweetness." Since my date tonight with Carsey was so sweet, and I just happened to be working on round Christmas ornaments last night (featuring Carsey's smiling, happy, sweet, face) it was a perfect fit for both last week and this. Two birds with one stone, eh? Now, I've cropped it tight because this is "supposed" to be a secret, like Christmas, not to be shared until December. Don't say you saw 'em here .

edit: but you CAN see them here.

edit: Lucky Lain! She guessed right, these are all projects I made for November at ScrapsAhoy for our destination of the month, which is Maine. This will be a shameless plug, but I will tell you in all honesty, that scrapsahoy.com is top of the food chain if you're looking for pure talent. I have been to many, many sites. "Belonged" to the communities, contributed, checked out the galleries and not one compares to the consistent quality, fabulous design and just jaw-dropping projects that the scrapsahoy staff produces every single month. I promise, if you're looking for a top-notch site that is free from all the drama and gossip and pettiness like those other sites, then come aboard! In December we're going to Ireland! And Lainie, gifties are on their way to you!

my monkeys

Just wanted to share a couple recent pics of all three of my squirrley girlies. Carsey, on the phone, which is apparently a new appendage. Shade (and boyfriend, Chaese) at Prom, her first dance with her first boyfriend. And, below, little Indy raking leaves, just because it was fun! love these monkeys!

dirty little secrets

For Studio Friday we're divulging secrets. I would classify myself as a "horder". Whatever I am IN to, I am REALLY into. I want every tool, book, supply manufactured for said hobby/craft. Here are a few pics of, a drop in the mere bucket of, the stacks and baskets and boxes and piles of STUFF that I have accumulated in the last few years for knit/crochet/scrapbook. This doesn't even take into account the 4 (FOUR!) dressers full of paper and the entire ROOM full of yarn and fabric that is upstairs that I am too lazy to go up and photograph. Oh and the boxes of beads and ribbons and entire closet of books and magazines. I think we all share this sickness, but I am stepping up and admitting I am apparently the poster child.
