Wenatchee senior portrait first look, AKA, "Yes sir, that's my baby."

You may remember No. 1 from 2 years ago, and now, no. 2 is a senior herself. One of the benefits of being a photographer is getting to shoot your kids whenever the mood strikes. One of the real life problems of being a photographer is you never seem to get around to doing the actual shooting. With her high school yearbook photo deadline looming, I am having to get creative in finding a few minutes here and there where Carsey and I can actually get together long enough to make a few frames. A couple days ago, she received some boots in the mail she had ordered online and, like many teen girls, immediately ran upstairs to try on the outfit that the boots completed. When she came downstairs to show off, I realized right then was a perfect moment. I convinced her to just walk outside with me, 5 minutes top, I promise, and thus began the first of several mini-mini-mini "sessions" we'll use to build together a full "senior session" before the yearbook deadline. This is a first look of what we came up with.

Oh, and Carsey...Love you to the moon baby.

East Wenatchee family portraits

Four generations, three siblings, two continents and one big love for their mom brought all these families together with a desire to capture a bit of THEM. The undefinable essence that makes them a family despite being spread out across the globe. Thank you for trusting me with that goal and letting me spend part of the afternoon with you!

Wenatchee Valley Knights Volleyball

My shot of the night, Daria Winkler catching great air during a tip against Big Bend Community College Friday night. WVC swept the Vikings, 25-17, 25-18, 25-14. Their next game is Wednesday at 6 p.m. against defending NWAACC champion Spokane. Should be a GREAT game and as a parent of one of the girls, I would love to see a big crowd to support our girls. Also, we are fundraising for the girls to go to Nicaragua in February for a week-long community service and volleyball festival trip. Please help support them by attending the game, they are such a hard-working, upstanding group of worthy young women.

WHS senior: Molly [Wenatchee senior photography]

Molly first contacted me a bit worried she had waited too late to arrange her senior photos. A quick check of my schedule, and a desire to always "make it work" for my clients, and we had a date that worked. We met down by the water on one of our beautiful late summer afternoons so prevalent in Wenatchee. Molly brought her BFF, Lynette, and I got to spend a fun little session learning a bit about these two sweet, adorable graduating seniors. When Molly told me she was interested in one of our local nursing programs, I thought it sounded like a great fit. She was very open and all-around nice and I bet she would make an awesome addition to that most honorable of professions. Good luck, Molly (and Lynette!), you were a joy to meet!
