This blog is still functioning...

Sorry for the absence! I was in Reno for a week long volleyball tourney. My kiddo's team competed against 197 other 16 yr old teams and finished 20th! So proud of them! Also dealing with (another!) excruciating case of Sciatica and sitting (standing, sleeping, walking, most anything) is awful. Can't get into chiropractor until Wednesday. Guess 2 more days won't "hurt" (yea right) since I've already been dealing with it for 3 weeks.

Made this quick little gem with some photos from our recent Idaho trip.

Thes rest of the summer is plan-free - yippee. We have about 5 weeks until school craziness starts again.

Enjoy your week!

Well, if the shoe fits...

challenge, originally uploaded by Tonya Doughty.

you must photograph it. Indy is a black-and-white girl. There is no grey area with her. If she heard it somewhere (or THINKS she did), it is, and will forever be, gospel to her. Sometimes this is a real, honest-to-goodness challenge. So seeing this word, painted on an old peely vintage, scooby-do era van, which is also my most favorite of colors, was like the heavens opening up and the angels humming..."look, we have created this tableau just for YOU, Tonya, and surely you must photograph your children against it...", and thus, I did. I found AMAZING color in Idaho! Check the rest of my "Challis, ID" gallery on Flickr. The green, SO green, the decay, SO decayed. Ripe, verdant, lush, overgrown, decadent and yet, so natural.

Home.

No matter how good traveling feels, coming home feels just as good. Four states in 9 days. Fishing, exploring, antiquing, photographing, mothering (more on that later), visiting, driving, more driving, eating and a full day of yet more volleyballing (2nd place!) - PHEW! Will post more vaca pics as I go through editing them.

Leave again on Saturday for Reno for a full week of volleyball. Last event of the season and should be a good one.

Oh, and I turned the big -four-oh (more like four-uh-oh).

I-da-ho

LOL, you can't visit Idaho, without someone inevitably saying "Idaho? No, You-da-ho..." yuck, yuck, yuck. Anywho, I am in Idaho visiting family so will be MIA for a bit and have already been so for a couple days. I have captured some AMAZING photographs, if I do say so myself, so will have lots to share when I get back. Everyone have a fantastic week!
