New stuff

New Winterland Collection and FabricAccent Embellishments (realistic chenille and burlap embellishments) are up in the store. I had fun with this set. It's called Winterland, but isn't in traditional red and green or blues. Fun, complex colors that remind me of the season. Cool enameled pin embellishments and a slew of realistic looking holiday "stamps". Can't wait to see what you do with them!

I need a new word for "cute"

My pal Steph's impish 2 yr old, Portia, sporting Tinkerbelle's dress - which she proudly, and insistantly, wore everywhere their entire week at Disneyland. I removed all color, returned the dress's color and then added a warm wash over the whole shebang. What a doll she is.

Thankful

Thankful for having a family to love and who loves me just as much. For a roof over our heads, food in the fridge, friends to talk to, hands to create, eyes to read, a nose to smell my fresh loaf of pumpkin cranberry bread. For the opportunities presented to me and the wisdom to choose wisely, reliable cars to take us down the road, the freedom that living in the United States affords us. Hot water when we need and A/C when its hot. So many things, both big and small that I could list forever.
Whatever it is that you are thankful for today and everyday, take comfort in all your blessings.

This girl is amazing

So proud of her! On Sunday Shade had tryouts for the North Central Washington Volleyball Club. There were some 70-80 girls trying out for 10 spots each on 3 teams. The teams are organized by ability/skill, with the highest being the Gold team, then Black, then Blue. Not having a 15-yr old team, Shade tried-out for the team above her, the U-16 division. Despite them being "the hardest practice I've ever done", AND having an asthma attack in the middle of the tryout, she played her heart out was selected as one of the top ten, so made the U-16 GOLD team! It's a traveling team, with the majority of their tournaments being overnighters and out-of-towners. So happy for her and the experience she will get doing something she loves so much. GO Shade!

So much new stuff

I have been one busy girl! My new stuff just released at scrapgirls.com is:
Rider Collection (this used to be up at my own site, but now it's exclusive to ScrapGirls.)
Of course all of these layouts include so many other wonderful products from the ScrapGirls design team that if you are at all interested in digital scrapbooking, I encourage you to check out the links. They list all the products used so you can see exactly how I put together my pages.
