I [heart] faces: dramatic black and white

Yes, she was really crying. Upset because she didn't come home in time from playing and knew she'd missed dinner. (Not that she couldn't still have it, but it was her favorite thing and she didn't like it as well reheated.) And just so you think I'm not completley heartless, she had already calmed down and this was the last residual tear. I was already out shooting when she came up to me and I stopped, talked to her first, then shot this.

Make sure you check out all the other entries at i [heart] faces!

Two birds, one stone. [Wenatchee photography + design]

Got a really awesome, totally unexpected email today. Our local phonebook company wanted to use one of my photos for the cover of next year's phone book! It was a photo I took last year for my 365 project (a photo everyday for a year.) It served that purpose and now it gets to be published. Bonus! Two birds, so to speak, which is funny because I dreamed this image two nights ago and started this illustration the day before I got the email about the phonebook. I'm not an "everything is a sign" kinda' person, I pretty much think everything is just a coincidence. But I digress...

Like the others, it's available in my printshop.
