I was shooting his big sister's senior portraits. He had a new haircut he did NOT like (too short!) We all tried to cajole him into a just a couple photos, but nope, no way, lady, no how. I resorted to snapping a few when he wasn't paying attention and when he'd see me he would laugh and try to run and cover. Going to give this one to his mom because I think it's the only one I got when, for a split second, he let me in.
Before and after info: Crop, straighten and basic exposure edits in Camera RAW, and the following actions: TRA Contrast + (Luma) at 20%, TRA Lux (Soft) at 30%, TRA Warm it up Kris at 70%, TRA Oh Snap! at 60%, Topaz Detail faded back to about 50% and then added a vignette.

Just one I really love! Enjoy your weekend and the last bit of warm weather.

I always consider it an honor to be asked to photograph someone. And I consider myself lucky to also get to enjoy something I do so much that I don't really consider it "work". This past weekend I got to spend some time with Ashley shooting her senior portraits. Such a nice girl, meeting someone like her always makes me feel hope for our nation's future. She is polite, friendly, funny (loved her interacting with her little brother!), and I know she makes her parents proud of the young woman she is and the woman she will be all too soon as she graduates high school. Thanks Ashley for trusting me to capture a little bit of your senior life for you.

A quick sneak peek with many more to come:

I have lived in Wenatchee for almost 13 years and although I have been to Lake Chelan a few times (it's gorgeous!), I have never been to the state park. I incorrectly assumed that what is the city park, pretty much in the center of town, was the state park. Well, this weekend, I had the fun honor of meeting, and photographing, the Williamson family (and their adorable Weimaraner, Dexter), at the state park, thus correcting my knowledge of the Chelan area park system! This happy, beautiful family likes to spend time enjoying Lake Chelan and suggested we meet at the south shore state park. So glad they did because I found an awesome new place to bring my own family! And when I say beautiful and photogenic, I think after this sneak peek, you'd have to agree! Thanks Williamson clan for the great afternoon!
