I'm always one to be excited for the weekend. Makes everything feel a little lighter, brighter and open to all possibility. On tap for this weekend might be a little trip to Bavarian-styled Leavenworth, WA and maybe some scenic Fall shot gatherin'. Cornstalks and pumpkins and haystacks, oh my! Enjoy the weekend everyone. We had homecoming in our town this weekend and my kids opted not to go. The school has made some ridiculous changes for dances (like all lights all the way on, and, if rumor has it, something like a foot space between dancers at all times - so no slow dancing), so they decided to "hang out" instead. Reminds me of the movie "Footloose!" I think the changes have the opposite effect they intended as now kids will just go somewhere else when they could have been at the school with adult chaperones. Anyway, these are my two daughters and their boyfriends, who are essentially brothers themselves as one's parents are also the guardians of the other. We had a little impromptu photoshoot and they did dinner and a movie. No puritanical school "dance" necessary.
Last night was the season opener, and very first game ever, for our new semi-pro hockey team, the Wenatchee Wild. Also a brand new arena, The Town Toyota Center, built for the team. (Sorry, but I hate sports complexes and contests named after for-profit businesses! Tostito Bowl? Pu-leese!) Anyway, I was one of the photogs covering the event and it was a pretty fun, if tiring, night! I have now been awake for over 30 hours and I think it's nap time!

Senior Molly has been a North Central Washington Volleyball Club (NCWVBC) teammate with my daughter for two seasons. She has been in many, many of my photos with her killer spike and awesome blocks. Was so nice to get to shoot her (Eastmont) senior photos! Such a sweet, and TALL, girl! Thanks Molly!
