Happy Friday

 

I found a really cool blog today and it made my whole Friday. Called Design is Mine, its a clean, fun read centered around design, in many forms. The author looks pretty multi-faceted, as she also authors 2 other blogs (see her site for links), and one of them centers on food. Gorgeous photography and fun commentary make even a mostly non-cooker like me want to cook.

The image is one I found spray-painted in our downtown area. There are supposed to be 10 of them, and I'm on a quest to see them all. This is a cellphone pic of the second one I found and I love the message!

Winding down

Well, summer is winding down and yet I keep finding more and more beauty in things that essentially are dying. Our tomato plant didn't fare too well, but did give one big bounty before rattling its last breath. Next year we'll go about it a bit differently. And I'll photograph it as well.

I am trying to import/move my "old" blog into this new space so I have everything under one roof. I'll probably post on both for awhile, so don't worry about checking both. This is a test to the "new" blog directly from Flickr.

Shade: Wenatchee senior portrait photographer

My own (first) baby is a senior too! Here are a few of her for senior portraits. She's very particular, so I have a feeling we'll be trying again in a couple weeks after I heal up from my surgery yesterday. Right now I feel much like I'd been run over by a truck!
