Regional Champs

Yep, they won the whole thing. Which wasn't even "the goal". The goal was to win against U17 Splash so they would get the bid to go to Nationals in Dallas this summer. They did that, so yep, we're going to National$ in Dalla$$ :)

Then they did something else amazing. In the Regional competion for the 18 year olds, they won the whole thing, thus being the first ever younger team (17's) to win an older teams (18's) Regional competition. So they are now the Evergreen Region No. 1 team for both 18s AND 17s :) How can you not be excited about that?

On the road again: North central Washington travel photography

Headed East, AGAIN, this weekend for volleyball. Long, straight-as-an-arrow drive from Wenatchee to Spokane. I always seem to hit it in the couple hours before sunset when God's(?) hand lays a golden wash and intensity across the land that whispers a little "not as boring as you thought, eh?" Not sure how I feel about this particular tourney, if I'm being HONEST. If they win, there will be more $$travel$$ at a time when I am $$traveled$$ out. I think I'm ready for the season to wrap-up, but when I'm there, and they're playing and pulling together and never giving up, you can't help but cheer them on. Wish us luck, in whatever form that may be.

Be big

Carsey has a personality a mile wide and I love that about her. And not that this has happened (yet) but I know that at some point "society/life/other people" will try to get her to tone it down. I just wanted to remind her to resist that at all costs. Be you, Carsey, be big.

If we were sticks

I was commissioned to create a set of stick figure people for Nestlings, who does all sorts of wonderfulness, including vinyl cutting. If you're so inclined to sport your family on the back of your rig (or anywhere else for that matter), check them out. Lots of choices for looks and pets and even a horse (a horse!) And no, I don't get a commission, LOL, I just think they turned out cute so thought I'd show 'em off.

Sunshine in a bag

Here is that last of the yellow. Love this one so much I had to keep it myself instead of put it up for sale. It makes me happy, which is all you can ask for, right?

Front and back are different, appliqued with yellow strip scraps on a very light beige heavy cotton. Sunny and fun for Spring!
